I went to Michaels to get some new scrapbook papers and a few other things for some projects I want to do {all projects I’ve been inspired by from all you crafty bloggers}.
I really had no intention of going near the Christmas clearance aisles, but like a bad accident, you can’t help but look! I didn’t go too crazy but found several things that I know I will use next Christmas. I decided to just look at those items that were 50% off or better and this is what I found.
I love these tins and couldn’t resist getting the snowman ones. These are great for some of those odd shaped little gifts that don’t fit a standard box, or you could just use them for what they were labeled as ~ cookie tins. These were $.53 each for the larger size and the small one was $.30.
I couldn’t get enough of these “To, From” tags. I love the dimensional ones and they are so, so cute! I bought several packages of these for $.33 each.
This Mary Englebright ornament of an elf, which made me think ahead to the Peppermint candy type theme I want to do in my kitchen next Christmas, was $1.49. I saw this done by Phyllis at Around The House blog and just loved it so much. {Loved it, Phyllis!}
Finally, I got this little red pot with a lime green Christmas tree design for $1.00. Love it! I could probably come up with a lot of options of what to put in it.
A different evening’s trip to Tuesday Morning netted me this solid crown for $7.00. This piece is quite heavy and, although you can’t see it in the picture, it has a hanger on it ~ it’s a stocking holder! I’ll be removing that portion and think I’ll be painting this lovely piece Heirloom White with some glaze.
Linking up to Frugalicious Friday at Finding Fabulous!
